In early 2014, MMG brought together Ugly Heroes member and local fire eater Verbal Kent with North Carolina’s Khrysis (Jamla, Away Team) to bring us Sound of the Weapon. In their newest video, “Raponomics”, they come together to explain the market in hip-hop. Weak MCs’ stock is depreciating. Kent chains bars together with slurred rhymes while Khrysis’ heavy drums lead the head nod. If you weren’t convinced in the duo yet, the new video shows both artists at their best.
Video : Verbal Kent “Body The Beat” (prod. by Khrysis)
Chicago emcee Verbal Kent (of Ugly Heroes) bodies the Khrysis produced beat in this new off-kilter visual from German director Arvid Wuensch. Meanwhile, the legendary DJ Eclipse lays deep cuts on the track leaving nothing left at the end of the three minute track.
The Bad Lieutenant of rap, Verbal Kent, recently released the album “Sound of the Weapon” produced entirely by Khrysis.
Free Album: Rapsody “The Black Mamba” (Prod. from 9th Wonder, Khrysis & Eric G.)
The first lady of Jamla Records, Rapsody, returns with yet another dope musical package, The Black Mamba. Featuring single Right Now, The Black Mamba runs the court with the same blend of skill and killer instinct of its namesake baller. Production duties are handled by the legendary 9th Wonder in addition to Eric G. and Khrysis.
