It’s always good to hear something different. Something against the grain, it sounds like nothing else, but reminds of you something. LiKWUiD has been grinding for a minute, and is finally getting everything she came for. She teams up with 2 Hungry Bros. and DJ Evil Dee (Beatminerz) for “Illfayted”. Over a bouncy track with playful keys and a faint oboe, she cuts all of the foolishness and gives you lines like “Okay, well papa used to drink and then he’d beat my mama/So sometimes I get depressed to drink/it seems to solve the problems.” She goes from serious to spiteful with “fuck that, I’m a outlive all you niggas/then slam dance on your grave to some 90s Jigga”. Evil Dee closes with his classic scratches. It’s a nod that you can follow your own path and make dope shit.
