Bay Area emcee BREEDSWORLD is straight-up showing off on his new single, “RIDER,” an 808s-heavy banger featuring booming production from Dre Eazy.
On his previous single, “Rooftop,” BREEDSWORLD blessed his listeners with a new summertime anthem made for late nights cruising with the windows rolled down. And with “RIDER,” he’s switching things up a bit to flaunt his talents with the pen over the minimalist, thumping instrumental.
From clever wordplay and hints of narrative to strong doses of bravado, BREEDSWORLD packs a lot into the track’s replay-worthy running time. Following a memorable sample from Django Unchained—”I count six shots…”—the Cali rapper unleashes a flurry of particularly wild bars: “I’m a mufckin’ nightmare/ I don’t fight fair, let the lights glare/ Times Square, hit my timeshare, take a flight there/ I’m rare, na, I swear, this is my year/ Right here, I don’t ride scared, that’s how I feel.”
