The Moses West & ill Clinton collaborative hip hop LP, “You’re Gonna Love Me”, is set for worldwide digital release October 5th, 2013.
The completion of “You’re Gonna Love Me” marks the union of two of Jacksonville’s most prolific creative forces in the lyrical hip hop, soul, and poetry genres.
Moses West is the host of one of the longest running spoken word venues in NE Florida, The Poetry Spot. He is also a member of “Slam Duval”, which won the 2012 “Southern Fried” national poetry competition. Moses West is a fan favorite across with southeast with his clever word play and relatable content.
ill Clinton is one of the region’s most respected hip hop and soul producers and has produced several albums and even some score work for film. In 2012 ill Clinton formed his own label and production company “ill Clinton Music”. Ill Clinton also organizes Jacksonville entertainment mainstay, The Cypher Open Mic Poetry & Soul, and has appeared in The FL Times Union, The Folio, EU, and First Coast Connect on 89.9FM.
“You’re Gonna Love Me” ranges from hip hop to soul, and from rock to poetry. Although the musical and stylistic landscapes vary, 3 things remain consistent throughout: Lyrical Content, Creativity, and Quality. The first 2 singles from the LP have already garnered fan acclaim and have received radio airplay all the way from New York to Texas.
