Caprice Classic Music is the first single off the recently released instrumental album Joyous Sounds & Other Spells (Nov 19th).
In the video, Eye Traveler pays homage to the sounds that shaped and molded him. It is a combination of west coast hip hop and funk, with a sprinkling of jazz.
Visually, Eye Traveler captures an elegant jazzman from the bygone era of the Central Ave. jazz scene in 1940s Los Angeles if drum machines and samplers were present while also showing the influence of lowrider car culture that informed his youth.
It is a style that pulls from classic LA hip hop acts like Above The Law to Cincinnati Ohio’s Hi Tek (Reflection Eternal).
