Following the late-August release of their new full length album, Diggaz With Attitude, producers Stu Bangas & Vanderslice have kept the ball rolling with a string of new videos and singles. All told, the production duo has released a collection of singles that have featured the likes of Roc Marciano, The Alchemist, Evidence, Apathy, Vinnie Paz, Celph Titled, Planet Asia, and more, and today, Stu & Vander are excited to release the video for the latest single from DWA, for the song “The Realest,” which features rappers Ill Bill and Slaine of La Coka Nostra.
This week, Stu Bangas & Vanderslice released their new album, Diggaz With Attitude. The long-hyped project is proving to be worth the wait; the two producers’ shared love for sinister chops and heavy drums pairs well with the album’s impressive line-up of guests, a list that includes Roc Marciano, The Alchemist, Evidence, Apathy, Ill Bill, Celph Titled, Blaq Poet, Esoteric, and more. To celebrate release this week, the two producers are now releasing the video for the album’s latest single, “Half Dead,” which features Apathy, Roc Marciano, and Planet Asia.
For listeners not yet familiar with Diggaz With Attitude, “Half Dead” is a perfect example of what fans can look forward to with the album. Track producer Stu Bangas sets the tone from jump, letting an old rock sample run, before quickly – and deftly – chopping it up into a descent of piano keys and bass. Apathy takes the first verse (“Ill as Jason Bourne when I’m blacking out,” he raps), while Roc Marciano holds down the second verse, bars full of the slick drug talk that fans have come to love. Planet Asia takes hook duties on the track, also delivering the song’s closing verse. The video, directed by R.M.L., offers a fitting visual for the song, with gritty, dimly lit shots of the three trading bars, joined by cameos from Rhymefest, Xzibit, and more.
“1st Degree Murder” features underground stalwarts Roc Marciano, Vinnie Paz, and Celph Titled, and the song continues Stu & Vander’s impressive streak of bringing together some of hip-hop’s most talented artists. “After the beat was done,” says Stu Bangas, who produced the track, “it fit perfect for Roc Marciano.” He adds, “I always thought Vinnie Paz and Roc Marciano would make an ill combo; Celph Titled came through to bless the hook and torch a verse.”
The video, directed by R.M.L., eschews new footage and instead collages together trippy, gored-out film footage – not to mention a few bikini-clad, machine gun totting models – pulling inspiration and source material from various obscure movies and foreign films, in addition to the cult, experimental early ’90s horror film, Begotten.

Today, Stu & Vander are releasing the LP’s second official music video, for the track “Casino Royale.”
“Casino Royale” features Apathy and Blacastan, and the video, directed by R.M.L. and premiered today by AllHipHop.com as the site’s Heater Of The Day, was shot, fittingly enough, at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut. The video opens with shots of Apathy and Blacastan in the back of a stretch limousine, head to toe in formal wear, before they hit the casino floor, rapping and gambling – and often rapping about making money (“I make green like photosynthesis/My dough replenishes,” exclaims Apathy) – while splitting time in a penthouse suite partying with salacious women.

Vanderslice produced the track, along with some assistance from Green Steez, who replayed and vamped on the original sample, and his inspiration for the song came from his love for old wrestling footage, particularly that of WWF legend Big Van Vader. “He was always going for the gusto, even if it meant breaking a jobber’s back in a means-nothing match,” says Vanderslice, explaining that it’s this particular ethic that not only inspired this track but also continues to drive he and Stu Bangas. “No matter what your station in life,” he says, “do it to the best of your abilities.”
The video, directed by R.M.L. and shot by J. Grove, keeps things straightforward, allowing the visual emphasis to remain on the artists. “The video moves just as the song does,” explains R.M.L., noting the different scenery – a ghost town. – for each artist’s verse. “It features each artist in their own light, just like the song does.”
