When Outasight decided to self release his new album “Chasing A Ghost” (due out early 2015), he knew that it would give him the creative freedom to make the record HE wanted to make. If “Invitation” is any indication of the sort of record “Chasing A Ghost” will be, there is no question that the risk associated with putting the record out on his own was well worth it. “Invitation” is a seamlessly blended mix of funk bass, offbeat synths and intricately placed guitar leads that culminate in the perfect sonic backdrop for Outasight’s dynamic vocals. If this track is an early indicator of what “Chasing A Ghost” and R&B in general will be in 2015, it’s going to be a very good year.
