The Black Opera have been busy as of late, in addition to a number of live shows including opening for Ghostface Killah and Adrian Younge in Michigan, TBO has been back in the studio working on a new EP for Mello Music Group to hold fans over until the next full length for the group. In the meantime, they decided to enlist Oddisee for a remix of their popular track “Queen Of Hearts featuring Mayer Hawthorne”. The track debuted this morning on HipHopDX and is now out in the wild! The Black Opera’s latest Video Demonstration “Queen Of Hearts” is here. TBO and director Andy Madeleine tell the visual story of a K U E E N in search of fulfillment in life. TBOGs Nokbai and Sensu provide a colorful backdrop to the video through their word play, and Mayer Hawthorne provides perfect pitch on the hook. “Queen Of Hearts” has proven to be a stand-out track on “Libretto: Of King Legend”, and has become a TBO instant classic. In 2000 the jam was “Climax”, and now the 2013 anthem is “Queen Of Hearts”.
