What’s in a name, right? Norma Jeane probably had the same bird tendencies as Marilyn Monroe just hidden under brunette curls. But Norma didn’t think her name or looks were good enough for whatever reason and hit the world with the remix. The world accepted Marilyn with open legs but she obviously still battled the same demons that were always there.
That’s what this song is about. People act like they cool but that poised exterior doesn’t fool those demons and insecurities. Danny Chung speaks upon his own personal battles and pours his soul out on this one. It’s ironic the most personal songs are the ones strangers can relate to the most. Humanity, yo.
