The Stereo Boyz are gearing up for their first full length album entitled “Carz, Clubz & Theaterz”, to be released early 2013.
“RayBanz” is the first single off the album, hitting stores August 21st, just in time to be the soundtrack of this late, but nonetheless heated summer of 2012.
The smooth, mesmerizing beat was made by super producer Nick Speed of Libido Sounds & G-Unit, who has produced hit records for 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Talib Kweli, Elzhi and many more.
With Dj Los on the cuts, another Detroit Heavyweight lend his skillz for “RayBanz”, adding the element of turntablism. On the Hook you hear the beautiful voice of the latest addition to the Stereo Boyz Crew, Shoua Kue, who will appear on a number of songs on the new album.
Stereo Boyz’ Mc and Producer Mixo explains the meaning of “RayBanz”:
“RayBan, RayBanz, or Ban for short. Definition: To block, shade, or blind any hate or fake during RapLife.
To wear shaded lens glasses when hating or fake people are around during RapLife but still only communicate with the real.”
The video for “RayBanz” was filmed and edited by Sacramento Knoxx, another multi talented team member of the Stereo Boyz Crew, gifted producer, visioneer, and executive producer on “Carz, Clubz & Theaterz”, as well as David Romero, a film and TV production major at Michigan State University.
The Stereo Boyz have been bringing Detroit’s strongest talents together, and this record and video truly showcase their appreciation of a great team, friends, fans and family. The video was shot at Mixo’s and Mic Audio’s family renunions:
“It meant alot to us to share that with our families, after having worked so hard for our dreams for many years now, to have them be a part of this huge accomplishment was only right!”
