How come only beat 2 followed the the rules and used just the sample? You guys with the PC sample banks couldn’t slice and stay in-bounds?

those were not the rules. The only rule was to sample the song we provided. The producers were allowed to use anything else they wanted and build around that sample.
Numbers 2 and 3 had my head noddin…number 2 gets my vote, 3 was nice too though, they should definetly not be second to last. c’mon son…

Maybe my ears are messed up, but isn’t beat #4 is CLEARLY killing it? Not by a little, but by leaps and bounds. Its part of the reason why a lot of producers don’t like beat battles…its really all about who has the most friends willing to vote.
